Gaming, a new profession? Increasing numbers of young video gamers view esports (i.e., competitive video gaming) as a career opportunity, rather than just a recreational activity. Previous studies have explored the motivational differences between esport and recreational gamers and the motivational changes through career journey to become a professional esports player. The present study explored the predictors of career plans to become a professional esports player, with a specific focus on gaming motivations. Gaming time, gaming motivations, and esport-related playing experience were also examined among Hungarian gamers with competitive gaming experiences (N = 190), such as years spent in esports, medium, and frequency of participating in esports tournaments, the effort put into training before the tournaments, and the plans to become a professional esports player. Thirst for unparalleled uniqueness: A plethora of world records.

Our last article featured the famous talented face who broke the highest number of Guinness Book of World Records from Bangladesh- Konok Karmaker. It is the zeal of standing out from the crowd, which pushed Konok to be the multiple title holder. We DYDF-India team got an opportunity to talk with him. From his childhood, he kept that inspiration lingering in the back of his mind to do something which is unique. From his primary school to college his thinking was different from his peers. Konok’s interest to learn new techniques of football made him love the sport more. When his journey with football was around 6 months, he became very good at balancing football in his forehead. He developed an overwhelming fascination with the annual Guinness World Records book.  He believed that physical strength would be vital to making record breaking history. “Team PRIMUS” the name Primus was chosen as it was their first try in the competition. This team won in two categories of FORMULA Student UK ,a motorsport competition held at the UK’s Silverstone Formula 1 circuit .It was an engineering student team composed of members from varying disciplines of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology .  Before coming to success lets know about the struggle the team faced. We DYDF-India team got an opportunity to talk with them. Asking about from where the dream of making a racing car was dreamt- “A shared love for cars and fascination towards machinery in the engineering 1st week is what brought a bunch of mechanical engineering students together”, Antony Biswas said. He got inspired by seniors about competitions held in International levels. He felt competition is the platform where he can convey his knowledge practically.
