Article- 1
Port City, Chattogram (Chittagong) |
Chattogram (Chittagong), is known as the business capital of Bangladesh and also called the port
city of Bangladesh. This city is the second largest city in Bangladesh. It is a major
coral city and financial centre of Bangladesh. The city is situated on the banks of
the Karnaphuli River between the Chittagong Hill Tracts and the Bay of Bengal.
Chittagong city is Bangladesh's second significant urban center after Dhaka.
We are facing lots of issues in this city. Infrastructural issues and social issues are
the most agonizing problems of all.
People of this city are facing lots of issues such as: Population problems, Violence
against woman and children, Poverty, Corruption, Crime, Dowry system, Illiteracy,
Unemployment etc.
But corruption is the most acute problem
in this city. Corruption is the act of dishonesty or fraudulency conduct by those in
power, typically involving bribery.
Firstly, those who are specially government employees are being very corrupted and
they don’t even think about their responsibility for the common people.
That's how common people are suffering in government office. Secondly, it is
obviously the police department. It is not true that every police officers are corrupted.
But some of the police taking bribe every day for whether it's legal or illegal
activities. Thirdly, the local administration and people's representatives are mostly
corrupted. During their service time they take lots of wealth and money instead of
doing something for this city. Finally, the conductor of infrastructural work is
considered to be the corrupted because of their works. They don’t put enough
materials whenever they making something like road, bridge etc. During rainy
seasons roads become little swimming pool and driving a vehicle is much more
risky. If these corruption don’t end it will be miserable.
Corruption is a curse for a society. If these things going on it will be very hard to
find an honest person on our future. Everyone should do their work as a
responsibility. Moreover government should take major steps for stopping
corruption. Most importantly every individual should be honest with their work.
That's how the root of the corruption and all other social issues will be eradicated.
